ABOUT YIELD
We help service businesses stop losing money to broken systems.
We built and scaled our own businesses using these exact AI systems. Meet the team behind Yield.
Why Now
For the past few years, the conversation about AI in business has centred on tools. Chatbots. Writing assistants. Image generators. Things you prompt, things you check, things that sit in the background and wait to be used.
That era is ending.
What is replacing it is fundamentally different. AI agents - systems that do not just respond to instructions but execute sequences of actions, make decisions within defined parameters, and complete complex tasks end-to-end - are already operating inside the businesses that will define the next decade. Not in pilot programmes. Not in controlled experiments. In production, right now, running alongside human teams and outperforming every manual process they were built to replace.
The gap this creates is not static. It compounds. The organisations using agentic AI today are not just ahead - they are building structural advantages that accelerate the longer they run. Early adopters are not simply more efficient. They are becoming architecturally different from their competitors in ways that cannot be reverse-engineered quickly or cheaply.
We are the last generation to have managed only humans. The businesses being built right now are the first to be designed for something different.
The question is no longer whether this will transform your industry. That is already settled. The question is whether you move now - deliberately, with a system built for your specific business - or later, when the gap has already been priced into your market.
Yield BD exists for the business that chooses now.
The Founding Moment
We had built what looked like a functioning marketing operation for Simon's businesses. Strategy was clear. Roles were defined. Two remote team members were onboarded with thorough briefs and a three-month probation. One handled administration across the Devlins Group brands. One handled design.
The quality was good - but not great. And in today's market, good execution delivers poor results. The execution also suffered from something every human operation eventually does: Parkinson's Law. Work expanded to fill the time allotted for its completion, rather than being completed quickly, accurately, and efficiently. That is a human trait. It is not one an AI agent possesses.
The time we spent reviewing, correcting, and re-briefing work that should have been straightforward was time neither of us could afford to lose.
We had already been exploring AI - not as a productivity shortcut, but as a system. Workflows. Automation. We started asking a different question: what if we deployed an agent to handle the daily repetitive work the business actually runs on?
The first test was customer service for one of Simon's retail brands. Every morning and every afternoon, a human reviewed all incoming orders, segmented first-time customers from returning ones, set up internal notes for the team, flagged anything that needed action - delivery queries, order changes, customer experience issues. It was a precise, repeatable process. And it was regularly late, inconsistent, and prone to things being missed.
The agent did it in minutes. Every order analysed. Every first-time customer flagged for a personal call. Every query reviewed, noted, and ready for the team to action. Nothing missed. No delays. No Monday morning backlog.
Within two days we had our answer. Not just faster - ten to twenty times faster. Not just good enough - more accurate than the human process had ever been. And available every hour of every day.
That was the moment. Not a theory about what AI could do. A live system, inside a real business, doing real work better than we had been doing it ourselves.
We didn't need more people. We needed to design, build, and deploy the right agents - and build a methodology for doing it repeatedly across any service business.
That is where Yield BD began.
The Architects
Anthony Boyatzis - The Architect
Anthony was appointed to lead one of the commercial divisions of the Australian Medical Association (WA), where he combined product innovation and growth marketing to transform a $4M local offline business into a $13M national operation - introducing manufacturing, wholesale distribution and building revenue across both online and offline channels.
He went on to found and operate a growth marketing consultancy for seven years, serving as Fractional CMO for service businesses where he carried the growth number - not from a distance, but embedded inside the operation. He later founded a marketing technology company, building and deploying automation and outreach systems for LinkedIn across a four-year period.
But the detail that matters most is this: Anthony personally designs, builds, and operates an agentic AI infrastructure across his own businesses. The AI agents, workflows and systems he deploys for clients are the same ones running inside his own operation - tested under real conditions, refined against real performance data, and held to the same standard he holds his own business to.
He writes the AI Simplified newsletter (LinkedIn) and the Level 10 AI newsletter (Substack), and co-hosts the Marketing, Business and Life Podcast with Simon Devlin - not as commentary from the sideline, but as documentation from inside the work.
Anthony is not selling AI theory. He is an Architect who lives inside the systems he designs.
Simon Devlin - The Operator
Simon has spent more than twenty-five years building and running real businesses - Devlins, CigarBox, The Embassy by Devlins, The Foreign Office - across retail, membership, and hospitality. Not advising. Operating. Carrying the overhead, managing the team, and answering for the result every month.
He is both co-founder and client zero.
Simon's businesses were where the Yield BD methodology was first proven. Every system we deploy was designed, built, and pressure-tested inside his own operations before it was ever offered to a client. Not in theory. Not in a sandbox. In live venues, under real commercial pressure, where poor execution shows up on the bottom line within days.
What drew Simon to AI was not the technology. It was what it solved. He saw that when deployed properly, AI could take the repetitive operational load off his team, tighten the gaps where revenue was leaking, and give him back the capacity to focus on the parts of the business that actually require a human - service, standards, and relationships.
When Simon says it works, he is not giving you a theory.
He is giving you a field report.
What We Believe
The founder is the last bottleneck.
In most $1M - $10M service businesses, the owner is simultaneously the best salesperson, the quality control function, the strategic decision-maker, and the only person who knows where everything is. That is not a compliment. That is a structural vulnerability. The moment AI carries the cognitive load that currently lives only in the founder's head - the follow-up rhythm, the client communication standards, the proposal logic, the onboarding sequence - the business stops depending on one person's energy and attention to function. That is not operational improvement. That is the difference between a business and a job with overhead.
The agentic shift is not coming. It's here.
Most businesses are still thinking about AI as a tool that assists a human - something you prompt, something you check, something that waits to be used. That model is already obsolete. The new model is agentic: AI systems that run sequences of actions, make decisions within defined parameters, and complete tasks end-to-end without a human in every loop. The businesses that build for this now will have an operational architecture their competitors cannot reverse-engineer in twelve months. This is not a prediction. It is already running inside the businesses we work with.
The biggest cost in your business isn't your payroll. It's your leaks.
Unconverted leads. Follow-up calls that never happened. Proposals that went cold. Customers who would have come back if someone had asked. AI doesn't generate revenue. It stops the revenue you already earned from disappearing.
Integration beats innovation.
The most exciting AI application is almost never the most valuable one. The most valuable one connects the systems you already have, closes the gaps that already exist, and makes your current operation more coherent - not more complex. We are not here to add technology to your business. We are here to make it function the way it was always supposed to, with technology as the enabler. Every business we have entered had the data, the clients, and the potential already in place. What it lacked was the connective tissue. That is what we build.
Your team doesn't need to be replaced. It needs to be freed.
The resistance to AI inside most businesses is understandable - and it deserves to be taken seriously, not dismissed. Our job begins with understanding: what the business actually runs on, where human judgement is irreplaceable, and where repetitive work is quietly draining the people who carry it. What replaces the fear is not persuasion - it is evidence. When someone watches an agent handle what consumed their morning, accurately and without complaint, the false belief dissolves on its own. What remains is relief, then trust, then freedom to do what only a human can do: build relationships, exercise judgement, and represent your business with care.
What Yield BD Is Built To Do
Yield BD was built for one type of business: the service operator who has built something real, knows something is architecturally broken, and is done waiting for a solution that actually fits. Not a tool to learn. Not a consultant who leaves after the workshop. A system - designed for your specific operation, deployed inside your business, and accountable to results from day one. We install the AI infrastructure that recovers the revenue you are already losing, removes the work that should never have reached you, and builds the operational capacity your business needs to grow without growing your headcount. We do not sell AI. We build the version of your business that runs the way it was always supposed to.
